Leaked CAD renders and a 360-degree video have offered an early look at Samsung’s upcoming clamshell foldable, the Galaxy Z Flip 8
The most notable change visible in the renders via MyMobiles.com is a reduction in folded thickness, with the Z Flip 8 measuring approximately 13.2mm when closed compared to the 13.7mm of its predecessor.
Beyond that slimmer folded profile, the overall form factor stays closely aligned with the previous Z Flip series, with unfolded dimensions and general design remaining largely unchanged. For example, the dual rear camera arrangement on the cover panel holds the same position as before and there aren’t any new hardware elements or layout changes visible in the leaked renders to suggest a rethink of the imaging setup.
Display sizes also appear consistent with the Z Flip 7, with the cover screen expected to be around 4.1 inches and the main foldable panel unfolding to approximately 6.9 inches, dimensions that will feel immediately familiar to anyone already in the Samsung foldable ecosystem.
It is worth noting that CAD leaks capture external geometry rather than internal hardware, meaning the renders reveal nothing about the processor, battery capacity or software features that could materially define the user experience.
Samsung has consistently used iterative design cycles across its foldable lineup to focus improvements on durability, hinge reliability, and performance efficiency, and those gains rarely surface in early design-stage leaks of this kind.
Samsung has not confirmed a launch window for the Galaxy Z Flip 8, though the device is broadly expected to debut at a Galaxy Unpacked event later in 2026.
