Valve is preparing to bring its Steam Link app to Apple’s Vision Pro headset, which will allow access to a vast library of PC and Mac games through Apple’s spatial computing platform.
The app targets owners of both devices who want to play their existing Steam library without switching between screens, with users able to wirelessly stream games from a PC or Mac running Steam to the Vision Pro over the same local network.
Valve is currently offering early access to the app through Apple’s TestFlight beta programme, ahead of a wider release that has yet to be given a confirmed date, plus the latest beta build introduces several improvements over earlier versions.
Those improvements include better network performance and support for resolutions up to 4K, alongside the ability for users to dynamically adjust the curvature of the display when operating in panoramic mode, giving more control over how the virtual screen fills the field of vision.

One significant caveat applies to the current build: the app supports 2D streaming only and does not extend to VR content, meaning games still run as standard flat-screen experiences rather than in an immersive spatial environment, and it remains unclear whether native VR support will arrive in a future update.
The announcement points to growing momentum behind Vision Pro as a PC gaming companion, particularly as the headset’s user base looks for practical justifications to sit alongside the hardware’s high starting price of £3199/$3199.
