Targeting the gap between compact subwoofer convenience and full-size performance, SVS has launched the 3000 Micro R|Evolution at £1,149 for the UK.
Built around dual force-balanced active 9-inch drivers and a 1,200-watt continuous amplifier, the 3000 Micro R|Evolution sits in an 11-inch sealed cabinet that’s designed to deliver 20Hz extension from a footprint that takes up less room than a conventional full-size subwoofer.
Its dual-driver arrangement fires each unit in opposing directions, producing cancelling mechanical forces internally that aim to eliminate cabinet vibration. This set-up also removes the need for a passive radiator, a component SVS has historically avoided across its range due to its tendency to produce imprecise, one-note bass reproduction.
Driving the custom-built high-excursion drivers is a proprietary Class D amplifier with a discrete MOSFET output stage; combining switching efficiency with high current delivery. It’s supported by a Switch Mode Power Supply that maintains a fixed 160V rail voltage regardless of AC line conditions.
A 295MHz Analog Devices DSP governs the entire amplifier, motor, and driver system, offering six times the processing power of previous SVS generations. 56-bit processing and premium DACs rated at 120dB signal-to-noise ratio are included to provide the headroom needed to maintain low distortion during high-demand playback.
Control runs through the SVS Subwoofer Control smartphone app that covers volume, low-pass filter, phase, polarity, room gain compensation, and up to six parametric EQ bands. There are three onboard memory presets for fast system switching with Auto Room EQ scheduled as a upcoming update in Q2 2026.
The 3000 Micro R|Evolution accepts both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, and comes in Piano Gloss Black and Piano Gloss White finishes with extra-thick MDF side baffles and rigid internal bracing throughout the cabinet.
SVS has confirmed UK availability for May 2026 through Karma AV distribution, with pricing fixed at £1149 across both colour variants.
