Klipsch launches a Rebellion with its first Heritage bookshelf loudspeaker

Klipsch has expanded its Heritage Series with something fans have been asking for years, a bookshelf speaker.

The Klipsch Rebellion Premium Bookshelf Loudspeaker marks the brand’s first compact entry in the Heritage line. It’s directly inspired by Paul W. Klipsch’s original 1958 H8 design.

Unveiled at the 2026 High End show in Vienna, the Rebellion is a two-way speaker built around a high-efficiency design. Klipsch says it delivers deep bass and crisp, low-distortion highs from a relatively compact cabinet. It’s hand-built in Hope, Arkansas keeping the Heritage tradition firmly intact.

At its core, the Rebellion updates PWK’s original concept with modern engineering. That includes a K-81-EP tweeter paired with a K-703 Tractrix horn featuring Klipsch’s Mumps technology. The technology keeps high frequencies clean and consistent across the listening area, while a new K-702 woofer handles bass performance.

Klipsch says the result is a more controlled, more powerful low end without sacrificing clarity. The Heritage range has always prioritised this, but now it’s available in a smaller form factor. The speaker is also tuned for both stereo listening and home theatre setups, and is designed to pair with Klipsch’s KS-24 stands.

Design-wise, each cabinet is grain-matched using wood veneer cut from the same timber, so pairs remain visually consistent. Finish options include American Walnut, American Auburn, Black Ash and Red Oak. There is also a limited-edition Tigerwood version to mark Klipsch’s 80th anniversary.

It also comes with a black cloth grille and the usual Heritage-level build quality, with each unit hand-assembled in the US.

Pricing starts at $2599 per pair in North America when it launches in July 2026. Prices for the EMEA region are stated at €2999 when it launches later in the year.
