Lenovo’s latest Android tablet has something most modern devices abandoned years ago: a removable battery.
The ThinkTab X11, which was first announced at MWC 2026, is now available in the US starting at $499. While Lenovo is positioning it as a business-focused rugged tablet, a few of its features could make it appealing. In fact, these features go well beyond the workplace.
The standout is undoubtedly the user-removable 10,200mAh battery. In an era where even smartphones rarely offer battery swaps, the ThinkTab X11 lets users quickly replace a depleted pack rather than hunting for a charger.
The ThinkTab X11 carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Meanwhile, the included rugged case helps it meet MIL-STD-810H durability standards. It’s clearly designed to survive harsher environments than your average Android tablet.
What’s interesting, though, is that Lenovo hasn’t neglected the basics. The ThinkTab X11 packs a 10.95-inch display with a sharp 2560 x 1600 resolution. It runs Android 16 out of the box, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset powers it. The chipset is paired with 8GB of RAM, while storage starts at 128GB and can be expanded via microSD. Importantly, a headphone jack remains onboard – another increasingly rare feature.
Lenovo has also included a few extras aimed at productivity, including dual USB-C ports, NFC support and a bundled Tab Pen XE stylus. In addition, the company is promising four years of software support. This comes alongside enterprise management tools for business customers.
The lack of cellular connectivity may disappoint some field workers, but the device includes Wi-Fi 6E support for faster wireless networking.
The Lenovo ThinkTab X11 is available now from Lenovo in the US, priced at $499 for the 128GB model. A 256GB version is also available for $579. It might be the best tablet around, but we certainly like the unique features,
