Sennheiser has expanded its partnership with Fabric London, bringing together one of the world’s best-known audio brands and one of the UK’s most influential electronic music venues.
The partnership will include a series of live events, as well as exclusive products and behind-the-scenes content focused on high-quality sound.
The collaboration will span live performances, consumer experiences and educational projects, with the aim to give music fans a closer look at the technology and expertise behind professional audio.
The first event is scheduled for 21 August at The View from The Shard, where electronic music pioneer Sven Väth will headline the opening showcase. Furthermore, Sennheiser says additional events will follow throughout the year, giving attendees the chance to experience live electronic music at one of London’s highest venues.
The partnership also includes an exclusive giveaway for Fabric followers. Fans will be able to enter competitions to win a Fabric Edition of Sennheiser’s recently launched Momentum 5 Wireless headphones. This will bring the company’s latest flagship over-ear headphones into the collaboration.
Away from the live performances, Sennheiser plans to work alongside fabric’s production and engineering teams to create educational content. This will explore the technology and creative decisions behind world-class club sound systems.
Moreover, the company says the material will offer insights into how professional audio is used in live venues, rather than simply promoting new products.
The collaboration will also extend to artists and emerging creators through projects with Orii Community, an organisation that supports under-represented talent. These sessions will showcase how Sennheiser’s professional equipment, including its EW-DX digital wireless microphone system, is used during live performances and productions.
Sennheiser’s long-running HD 25 headphones will also play a central role throughout the partnership. The iconic on-ear headphones have been a fixture in DJ booths, broadcast studios and film production for more than three decades. As a result, visitors will be able to see how they continue to be used in professional environments today.
While collaborations between audio brands and music venues are nothing new, this one goes beyond simple sponsorship. By combining live performances, educational content and hands-on demonstrations, Sennheiser is aiming to show how its consumer and professional audio technologies come together behind the scenes.
