Amazon has folded its Luna game streaming service into the Prime Video app for Fire TV owners.
Fire TV owners in the UK and US have begun seeing Luna titles surface alongside films, box sets, and live channels, with a dedicated Games tab now sitting at the top of the Prime Video interface for easier navigation.
That integration carries no additional cost for existing Prime members, who only need a compatible controller or smartphone to begin streaming titles directly through the app, removing the usual barrier of dedicated gaming hardware.
The change also removes a longstanding piece of friction, since Luna previously required its own separate download and login on Fire TV devices that already sit at the centre of most UK and US Prime Video viewing.
Luna’s current catalogue spans several notable releases, including Control, Dispatch, Fallout 4, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, alongside EA Sports FC 26 and family titles such as Clue, Taboo, and Ticket to Ride, with Amazon refreshing the selection every month.
Amazon frames the move as a way to help members go deeper into their favourite franchises, pointing to the recent arrival of the Masters of the Universe film on Prime Video alongside the tie-in Masters of the Universe: Legends Unite co-op game.
Beyond the UK and US, Amazon plans to extend the Luna integration to additional countries and Fire TV compatible devices over the coming months, widening access to a service that has largely operated as a standalone app since its 2020 launch.
The expansion also lands as Netflix pushes further into cloud gaming on television screens, with its horror title Unhinged and a widely panned World Cup game both debuting last month among what the streamer called two of its most successful cloud game launches to date.
Amazon has not confirmed which additional markets or devices will gain the Luna integration next, though the rollout suggests gaming is becoming a more visible part of Prime Video’s core offering rather than a separate experience reserved for a smaller, dedicated audience.
