Triangle has introduced a new Macassar ebony wood veneer finish for its AIO Twin connected speaker system.
With the new finish, Triangle has applied a genuine wood veneer drawn from the grain and tone of Macassar ebony. The veneer runs a vertical grain in which fine golden lines cross a rich dark brown base, and its contrasts shift with the viewing angle.
Alongside the wood, Triangle clads the speaker’s oblong grille in a deep brown Gabriel fabric, a Scandinavian textile the company sets against the veneer to hold the warm tones consistent across the whole design.
Triangle has leaned on its Soissons workshops and four decades of loudspeaker work to frame the system as a design object rather your bog-standard hi-fi speaker.
The emphasis on materials sits on top of hardware built to bridge vinyl and streaming, with the AIO Twin combining a switchable MM phono and RCA input for turntables with wireless Bluetooth and Wi-Fi playback.
On the digital side, the system handles Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi streaming up to 24-bit/192kHz, a hi-res ceiling that places it above the many wireless speakers still capped at CD-quality or lossy playback.
Beyond that core playback, the AIO Twin can link with other speakers in Triangle’s AIO ecosystem for multi-room audio, and folds in an optical S/PDIF input for televisions alongside a subwoofer output for extended bass response.
That blend of turntable input and streaming lands as vinyl sales continue their long recovery, and it targets listeners who want a record deck and a Wi-Fi source feeding one set of speakers instead of two separate chains.
The Triangle AIO Twin Macassar is available to order now from authorised Triangle retailers, priced at £599 in the United Kingdom, €699 across the European Union and $899 in the United States.
