Eversolo’s AMP-F8 brings Class AB power to the UK

Eversolo has introduced its AMP-F8 Class AB power amplifier, bringing up to 500W of power to your hi-fi setup.

The AMP-F8 is aimed at listeners looking to build a dedicated hi-fi system or upgrade an existing setup with more power and speaker control. The AMP-F8 can deliver 180W per channel into 8 ohms or 280W into 4 ohms in stereo mode, while its bridged mode increases output to 500W into 8 ohms.

Under the hood, Eversolo has equipped the amplifier with a custom 800W toroidal power supply and 24 audio-grade filter capacitors, designed to maintain stable power delivery while reducing unwanted noise. There’s also a DC blocking circuit to minimise interference from the mains supply.

The amplifier uses three pairs of precision-matched MOSFETs per channel, alongside a dual differential amplification design intended to improve signal clarity and reduce distortion.

Eversolo claims a total harmonic distortion plus noise (THD+N) figure of just 0.003% and a signal-to-noise ratio of at least 115dB, which should help preserve quieter details in recordings. A damping factor above 400 is also designed to provide tighter bass control, particularly when driving larger speakers.

Connectivity covers balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs for connecting to preamplifiers, DACs and other audio equipment.

The AMP-F8 also has a more traditional hi-fi look, with two analogue VU meters on the front that move in response to music. The chassis is CNC-machined aluminium, finished with an anodised, sandblasted coating.

At 15.9kg, it’s a substantial piece of equipment, with dimensions of 265 × 388 × 119mm. Eversolo has also included a convection cooling system to help manage heat during longer listening sessions.

The AMP-F8 looks to be a serious addition to Eversolo’s hi-fi line-up. The Eversolo is bring distributed in the UK by Decent Audio, with pricing at £1749 and availability in stores starting October 12th.
