Loewe has unveiled a new automatic coffee machine that puts some seriously premium hardware around your morning brew.
The Loewe aura.matic will cost £5000 / €5000 when it goes on sale later in 2026, making it very much a luxury appliance than a casual upgrade.
The aura.matic has two separate stainless-steel conical grinders that lets you keep two different coffee beans loaded at once. You can switch between them at the press of a button, or combine both to create your own blend.
There are 18 pre-installed coffee specialities, with each drink adjustable to your taste. Loewe has also fitted dual thermoblocks to control the temperature of the coffee and milk separately, while a removable 20g brewing unit is designed for consistent extraction and easier cleaning.
Milk drinks are covered by an integrated milk system with fine milk frothing, and an integrated cup-detection sensor checks that your cup is correctly positioned before brewing. So, at least in theory, your £5000 coffee maker should be rather good at avoiding an expensive counter-top mess.

The machine itself is controlled through a 7-inch touchscreen, while the dedicated Loewe aura.matic app lets you prepare drinks remotely and save preferences for up to six individual profiles, making it a little easier when everyone in the household has a different idea of what constitutes a proper cup of coffee.
Loewe has put plenty of thought into the appearance too. The 360-degree design combines an aluminium housing with a glass door and real wooden frame. The glass door can be manually opened to reveal what’s inside and closed again to hide it away.
The aura.matic is positioned as Loewe’s take on a more personalised automatic coffee experience, with the flexibility to switch beans, create blends and save individual drinks. However you want your coffee to be made, the aura.matic wants to serve you the best cup of Joe.
