A new Google Health Premium subscription has appeared across the Fitbit app and Google’s online store, ahead of the unannounced Fitbit Air’s launch.
Pricing is set at $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, and the service is expected to accompany both the Pixel Watch 4 and the heavily rumoured Fitbit Air.
The subscription’s appearance in both the Google Play Store and the Pixel Watch 4‘s official listing on Google’s website suggests a launch is imminent. 9to5Google has also spotted the listing already live in the Fitbit app at both monthly and annual pricing tiers before any formal product reveal.
At $99.99 annually, Google Health Premium costs $20 more per year than the existing Fitbit Premium subscription, though whether the new tier replaces Fitbit Premium entirely or sits above it as a supplementary offering remains unconfirmed at this stage.
The subscription centres on a feature called the Fitbit Personal Health Coach, an AI-driven tool that generates training plans and answers workout-related questions in a manner consistent with how users would speak to an actual personal trainer.
Google Health Premium’s branding adopts a heart icon rendered in the company’s signature colour gradient, a visual identity that aligns the subscription firmly with Google’s broader product family rather than presenting it as a standalone Fitbit service. That suggests the company intends the tier to function as a platform-wide health layer across its wearable hardware.
The Fitbit Air itself has not been officially announced, though various leaks point to a screen-less fitness band priced at $99 that would rely on a paired smartphone for data display, making a subscription-based feature set a central part of the device’s value proposition rather than an optional add-on.
Google has not confirmed a launch date for either Google Health Premium or the Fitbit Air, though the subscription’s active presence across multiple Google storefronts points to a reveal within the coming days.
