Google has officially confirmed when we’ll get our first proper look at the Pixel 11 lineup. After weeks of rumours, the company has sent out invitations for a launch event on 12 August in New York City.
The announcement comes just hours after a report claimed the event would take place on 11 August. That rumour turned out to be only slightly off.
The keynote will begin at 6pm local time in New York, which translates to 11pm in the UK. European viewers will need to stay up even later, with the event starting at midnight on 13 August in Central Europe.
While Google hasn’t confirmed exactly which devices will take the stage, the Pixel 11 series is widely expected to headline the event. That should include the standard Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. This continues the expanded lineup introduced with previous generations.
The launch date also follows a fresh pricing leak that suggests Google isn’t making sweeping changes across the range.
According to recent reports, the Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro will start with 256GB of storage in Europe. While they shouldn’t be more expensive than last year’s variants, the lack of a 128GB option means the base price will still rise. The larger Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, however, are tipped to receive a €100 price increase across all storage options.
Whether those price changes carry over to markets like the UK and the US remains unclear. Google has yet to announce regional pricing, and the company has historically adjusted prices differently between territories.
With the launch now officially locked in, attention will naturally shift to what Google has planned beyond the hardware itself.
Fortunately, there’s not much longer to wait. Google will lift the lid on the Pixel 11 family on 12 August, putting an end to months of leaks and speculation.
