OnePlus has started rolling out its stable Android 17 update to more devices, bringing the latest software to the OnePlus 13, 13R, 13s and 15R. The update is currently reaching users in India, with a wider release expected to follow, although the company hasn’t confirmed when it will arrive in other markets.
The rollout follows the earlier release of Android 17 for the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus Pad 4, expanding support to some of the company’s older flagships.
However, this isn’t just a routine Android upgrade. OnePlus is also replacing its familiar OxygenOS software with ColorOS 17, introducing a refreshed interface alongside several performance improvements and new AI-powered features.
Among the biggest changes are redesigned Quick Settings and notification panels, smoother animations and improved memory management, which should help make everyday navigation feel more responsive. OnePlus is also introducing AI-powered security tools designed to detect potentially suspicious calls involving artificially generated voices, as well as possible face swaps during video conversations.
The switch from OxygenOS to ColorOS might sound like a major change for long-time OnePlus users, but the two interfaces already share much of their underlying software. As a result, the updated experience may feel more familiar than the new name suggests, while still bringing noticeable changes to the interface and system performance.
According to OnePlus’ official community posts, the OnePlus 13 is receiving build CPH2649_17.0.0.102(EX01), while the 13R gets CPH2691_17.0.0.105(EX01). The OnePlus 13s and 15R are receiving builds CPH2723_17.0.0.101(EX01) and CPH2767_17.0.0.106(EX01), respectively. All four updates are being released in batches, so some users may need to wait before the download becomes available.
For users outside India, there’s still no confirmed release date. However, since the OnePlus 13, 13R and 15R are also sold in the US, the expanding rollout suggests American owners could be next. The OnePlus 13s, meanwhile, wasn’t officially released in the US.
