Roku was originally known for its streamers but it has steadily expanded its reach into TVs, soundbars, and now it’s added a new category to its line-up: projectors.
The range kicks off with two models: one from Aurzen and another from Sharp, the former is the same model that launched in the US in October of 2025. When we asked Roku if it’s exactly the same model in terms of specs, they confirmed that it was.

The (slightly confusingly named) Roku TV Smart Projectors will, naturally, feature Roku OS, providing customers to UK catch-up and on-demand apps, as well the global apps that dominate the stremaing landscape today, such as Netflix, Disney+ and HBO Max. While Roku’s streamers and TVs support Freely in the UK, the projectors will not (even though they seem to be the perfect fit for that).
Along with the paid content, there’s plenty of free content through The Roku Channel as well as FAST channels; and the projectors will support operation through the Roku app (they also come with an infrared remote, although the physical remote doesn’t support voice control).

There’s no 4K support, nor is there any HDR support (a slight disappointment from our perspective); with streaming capped at 1080p resolution.
Both the Aurzen and Sharp projectors will support autofocus and auto keystone to make it easier for customers to get started; plus along with the built-in Wi-Fi (including AirPlay 2) there’s Bluetooth connectivity for adding wireless speakers, headphones for private listening soundbars and subwoofers into the mix. Through the HDMI ARC input, you can also add a sound system of your choice
And with the 2026 football World Cup fast approaching, Roku has also announced its Football Zone for the UK, a new destination hub where you can find games that are playing and start watching without having to search through apps.

Match highlights will also be included, as well as related content that goes deeper and further into football and the World Cup. Fans will also be able to stay up to date with a dynamic scoreboard that covers all the matches, plus a leaderboard that tracks the tournament’s top goal scorers.
The Football Zone will be made available across all existing and new Roku players, Roku TVs and the projectors ahead of the tournament.
Roku, Aurzen and Sharp haven’t announced any pricing for their respective models, but we do know that the Aurzen Roku TV Smart Projector is available from June on Amazon; while you’ll be able to find the Sharp Roku TV Smart Projector available at Asda and from July onwards at Tesco.
