A new leak suggests the upcoming Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is getting a design refresh.
According to leaker GalaxyTechie, Samsung is preparing a redesigned Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. This launch will come ahead of its expected unveiling at next month’s Galaxy Unpacked event. In addition, the leak also claims that there won’t be a Galaxy Watch 9 Classic in 2026, which would align with Samsung’s usual release pattern. It also fits with recent hints found in FCC filings.
The biggest changes appear to be reserved for the Ultra model. While Samsung’s current Galaxy Watch Ultra already blends rugged styling with a circular display, the new version is said to adopt a slightly more angular look. It will also borrow some visual cues from the company’s Classic series.
Leaked renders point to a bezel marked with the numbers one through twelve, giving the watch a more traditional appearance. However, it’s not yet clear whether Samsung plans to bring back a rotating bezel. This remains one of the Classic range’s most popular features.
The display is also tipped to feature slimmer bezels, while the buttons on the right-hand side appear to have been redesigned. In particular, Samsung may be replacing the current circular Quick Button with a wider button that could be finished with a new orange accent.
Beyond the hardware tweaks, the leak suggests Samsung is planning new colour and strap combinations across the range. A beige version is reportedly in development alongside black and silver options paired with blue and green straps respectively.
The renders also hint at software changes arriving with One UI 9 Watch, including new watch faces and a redesigned Samsung Health experience.
As always, it’s worth treating early leaks with caution until Samsung makes things official. Still, if these reports are accurate, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 could end up being the bigger story this year. This will be particularly true if the Classic model really is sitting this generation out.
