Moon expands its Compass Collection with the 341 amplifier

Moon has expanded its Compass Collection with the 341 integrated amplifier, bringing technology from its flagship North Collection into a more compact, all-in-one design aimed at serious music listeners.

Priced at £4,400 in the UK, the Moon 341 is a purely analogue amplifier that combines pre-amplification, power amplification and a built-in phono stage in one box.

Hand-crafted in Montreal, Canada, it is designed for listeners who want high-quality amplification without needing separate components for every function.

The amplifier delivers 100W per channel into 8 ohms, rising to 200W into 4 ohms, and uses Moon’s Hybrid Power (MHP) power supply and Distortion-Cancelling Amplifier (MDCA) technology. Both are derived from the company’s North Collection, making their inclusion one of the more notable aspects of the new model.

Connectivity sees four RCA inputs, including a dedicated phono connection, alongside a balanced XLR input. The integrated phono stage supports both moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC), with settings adjustable through the amplifier’s graphical interface. This should make the 341 particularly appealing to vinyl enthusiasts who want to connect a turntable without investing in a separate phono preamp.

Despite its relatively compact design, the 341 weighs 9kg and measures 42.9cm wide, 8.7cm high and 38.5cm deep. It also offers a frequency response of 5Hz to 100kHz and 40dB of gain, with buyers able to choose between a two-tone black and silver finish or an all-black version.

The Moon 341 is available through authorised Moon retailers in the UK, with a 10-year warranty included.
