Apple’s first foldable iPhone is finally available to pre-order today, with the iPhone Duo going up for grabs at 1pm BST across more than 70 countries and regions, including the UK and US. However, anyone planning to get their hands on Apple’s latest smartphone will need to be prepared to spend considerably more than they would on a regular iPhone.
The iPhone Duo starts at £1,999 in the UK and $1,999 in the US, making it significantly more expensive than the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, which start at £1,199 and £1,299 respectively. That’s a £700 premium over Apple’s most expensive Pro model, putting the company’s first foldable firmly in the ultra-premium smartphone category.
Apple unveiled the iPhone Duo last month alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, although the foldable has taken a little longer to reach customers. While both Pro models went up for pre-order shortly after their announcement and are already on sale, Apple has held back the Duo until now.
Pre-orders will be available through the Apple website and Apple Store app, with deliveries and in-store sales scheduled to begin on 23 October.
The initial rollout covers major markets including the UK, US, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan and South Korea, among others. Apple will then expand availability to another 28 countries starting 30 October, although the company hasn’t provided a full breakdown of those additional markets in the supplied details.
